History: Palau can be found on the narrow strip of land close to the three islands of 'Spargi, Budelli, and Razzoli', these islands are part of the archipelago 'La Maddalena' Palau is a lively and ever youthful village founded in 1800 to provide a jumping off place to the islands. 20 years ago, the harbour has been enlarged and it is now one of the most agreeable marinas in the Mediterranean. Offering all the marine and chandlery services necessary for its 400 berths ! The village is on the westerly side of Sardinia situated between the Cape 'Porto Rafeal' and the huge granite cliff called 'The Bear'. The rear of the village is dominated by the hill called, 'Baragge' from where it is possible to view the entire village and archipelago in a series of breathtaking views. Source:
